With 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large lounge/dining-area, our modern well equipped lodge provides comfortable self-catering accommodation for families or groups of 6 to 8. Set in a manor park just inside the Cornish border, the location is ideal for walking and touring in both Cornwall and Devon.
Tamar Heights is situated in the Tamar Valley - a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) - and offers a peaceful, central location for access to Cornwall and Devon's:
- Short local walks - based around the Tamar Valley Line (scenic rail route) and Discovery Trail; links to longer walking routes
- Inland attractions - which include amusement parks, the moors, Lydford Gorge, the National Trust properties of Buckfast Abbey and nearby "Cotehele" - and the unforgettable Eden project
- Coastal trips - to Looe, Polperro and historic Plymouth - all within 30 mins drive
- Golf and leisure facilities - using our pay-as-you-go membership of the China Fleet Country Club

Although our lodge is fully equipped for self-catering, there are restaurants and inns close by providing a warm welcome and excellent food. Local shops in Callington, Gunnislake and Drakewalls (late-opening + DVD hire) stock most provisions. For larger supermarkets, Tavistock is just 8 miles away.
We believe that holiday accommodation should be comfortable as well as convenient, so we provide some "wet days" entertainment such as games, DVDs and paperback novels.
For families with small children, we provide a travel cot, a stair-gate and a high-chair.
Included in the rental are running costs for the electric cooker and the storage and convector heaters.
In the kitchen area there is a family-size dishwasher and a small freezer.
